Can you believe that prostate cancer is the number one cancer-killer of males in the world? Can you also believe that there is no niversally-agreed upon strategy for its’ diagnosis and management? There is a lot of talk these days about prostate cancer on the news, yet nobody can seem to figure out what is behind the whole thing. A recent article actually suggested that masturbation is the solution! Tired old references to the high incidence of prostate cancer in the clergy are cited. If you have ever surfed the Internet with your content filter turned off, you will have no doubt that the entire world is doing anything but holding back their seed in pursuit of spiritual ideals.

So what is behind these staggering numbers? Chinese medical theory would suggest that too much sexual activity is as bad as too little, and common sense in any culture points to the benefits of moderation with respect to any activity. Plant-based herbal remedies like saw palmetto and pumpkin seeds are purchased in large numbers, but the relief they offer is fleeting at best. Their temporary benefit, however, points back to a concept in Chinese medicine called “excessive yang.” In western thought, we would say that something has “overheated.”

Your prostate may indeed be suffering from a fever! How could this happen? The answer lies in a substance called DHT, or dihydrotestosterone. This is a by-product of testosterone metabolization, and perfectly natural. DHT is what allows you to produce erections and build muscles. Ironically, it also leads to an inflamed and enlarged prostate if it continues to accumulate in the prostate gland. Interestingly, DHT accumulation in the scalp is what accounts for hair loss. Incidentally, this explains why western drugs that promote hair growth also promote testicular shrinkage.

The truth is that DHT production has been on the rise over the last 30 years. The western world eats a tremendous amount of meat that is filled with hormonal back-wash that has been accumulating in livestock long before they are ever brought to the slaughterhouse. How else could we “grow” the animals so fast? Poetically, we also absorb this accumulation of hormones when we eat these “fast-track” animals. We also ingest sports supplements and energy boosters purchased at our local vitamin shop that are filled with hormone pre-cursors in order to deliver on their claims of more energy and enhanced sexual function.

This in itself may not be so bad for the prostate if all the excess DHT was actually burned up. Unfortunately for the prostate, it rarely is. This is where the problems begin. As time goes on, the prostate really has no options available to it other than to grow larger and harder. This brings on a flurry of problems such as premature ejaculation, urinary incontinence, and ultimately impotence. In this respect the medical establishment has resumed their usual course of inventing harmful surgeries, radioactive seed implants, and side-effect laden drugs. The bodies keep piling up and survivors are exactly that–often with permanent damage to their sexual organs as a result of their treatment at the hands of the medical establishment. In the end, a lot of it comes down to money: many chronic wasting diseases such as cancer and AIDS have simple, cheap cures but this doesn’t make anybody any money. Of course, I am aware that I will be branded a conspiracy theorist at best and an imbecile at worst for making such a statement. The common belief is that a cure for AIDS would be all over the news should it suddenly be discovered. People who subscribe to such notions also believe that AIDS “cocktails” are what is keeping industry poster-boy Earvin “Magic” Johnson from kicking the bucket prematurely.

The truth is that there are cheap and effective solutions for most of life’s problems. Mind you, I don’t think buying a pair of magnetic rings will make you an immortal, but I do think purchasing an electronic blood cleaner modeled after the one used by the medical industry itself (or is it the other way around) makes for sound experimentation.

Getting back to prostate problems, some people have gone back to traditional prostate massage methods, but the traditional methods are often messy or psychologically as discomforting as a routine prostate exam. Luckily, there are new herbal remedies being developed by individuals who use their own bodies as laboratories, and these same individuals are developing methods for massaging the prostate that are non-invasive.

With knowledge we are one step away from power, but it is the application of acquired knowledge is where the power really lies.

As modern life gets busier and work/life balance becomes more of an issue for everyone, the Internet has really come into its own. We shop online, we chat online – and, if you’re a business owner, there’s even the opportunity to network online.

In terms of flexibility, online networking has traditional networking well and truly beat. No longer are business owners forced to take time out from their businesses to fend of the advances of a dozen, business-card-wielding serial networkers at some military-style event. Now we can just log on to one of the many discussion forums dedicated to entrepreneur ship and be winning friends and influencing people in the click of a mouse.

In this respect, online networking is truly good news. With the freedom offered by the Internet, however, comes a whole new set of rules, the flouting of which can end up doing your business more harm than good. Here are just a few of them:

1. Don’t be too blatant

Online networking is far subtler than its offline counterpart. It’s just not the done thing to blaze into a business forum trailing promises of instant riches and dropping your URL like a scud missile. The trick is to try and integrate yourself into the community, offering advice where it’s required and joining in the discussion. By positioning yourself as an expert in your field you’ll gain more business in the long-term than blatant self promotion. And speaking of blatant self-promotion…

2. Don’t spam

In terms of Internet discussion boards, spamming is defined as posting the same message on more than one board. Just as annoying as the type of spam which clutters your email inbox every day, this type of behaviour is more likely to loose you business than gain it. Resit!

3. You only get back what you give

There are some business owners who shudder at the very thought of giving their advice or help for free. These are the business owners who aren’t making much of a success of online networking. The rule is simple: what you get out of it is roughly proportional to what you put in. Show yourself willing to offer your expertise to those who need it, and you’ll be repaid in terms of referrals and more business from the people who see your posts.

4. Don’t say anything you wouldn’t be happy to say in front of your clients

Online networking differs from “normal” discussion board use in that it’s rarely anonymous. If you want to make the most of the experience, you’ll need to tell people who you are, and use your URL in your signature. What that means, though, is that anything you say on the discussion board can be traced back to you – and could be seen by your clients. Stick to the rule of never saying on a discussion board what you wouldn’t say in the boardroom and this shouldn’t be a problem.

5. Don’t be rude

This one should really go without saying, but an unfortunate side-effect of Internet discussion boards is that they often make people feel braver than they really are. Protected by the relative anonymity of a screen name, some people will take the opportunity to show their true colours – even when those colours are less than flattering. Remember rule number 4, though: on this kind of forum, you’re never anonymous. If your business is identified, then you are too. More importantly, your behaviour will be seen as a reflection on your business. When you come across people whose opinions and pronouncements anger you, then, take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard before you end up saying something you’ll regret.

6. Use your signature

Although blatant promotion is a big no-no in the world of online business networking, you still need to promote your business somehow. The place to do that is in your signature file, with a subtle but informative description of your business, and link to your website.

According to the Council of Mortgage Lenders, first-time buyers are the most susceptible group of homeowners to debt, as they are more likely to have higher loan-to-value ratios and commit a higher proportion of their income to mortgage repayments. Despite their susceptibility to debt, there is evidence which indicates that insurance take-up and employee benefits provide recent first-time buyers with a safer foundation than the general population of mortgage borrowers.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) has become increasingly concerned about the ability of current and future home-buyers to pay back mortgages in the event of changing circumstances. Over the past five years, the CML and its partners within the Sustainable Home-ownership Initiative, have sought to improve this issue. Contributing factors to the problem include increasing personal debt levels and a less certain economic environment. This has provoked concern about the sustainability of home-ownership and consumer understanding of financial products, ensuring that the issue of mortgage risk is at the top of the agenda for the UK Government, industry regulators and public as a whole.

Over the last year, the Sustainable Home-ownership Initiative has debated the most effective move forward to increase home-buyers’ awareness of potential debt and protection from unforeseen events with insurance products, specifically Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI). The Financial Service Authority is leading the way to help raise awareness of debt prevention with the “Debt Test” initiative.

According to research carried out by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, two thirds of recent first-time buyers say that an online debt test designed to help them assess potential triggers of debt and highlight future borrowing risk would be useful.

The mortgage market is also watched very closely by the consumer research website, moneynet. In addition to tracking market behaviour, property values and homeowner incomes, moneynet have endeavoured to become increasingly proactive about educating their visitors, so they fully understand the complexity of the relevant financial products. In addition to their mortgage comparison service and mortgage protection options, moneynet published a comprehensive mortgage guide earlier this year, as part of its series of consumer product guides. Moneynet isn’t the only site to offer enhanced information services; Which? also offers a detailed mortgage guide and mortgage search tool powered by Moneyfacts. Both “Switch with Which?” and moneynet take the consumer through the types of deal available, detailing the different interest rate structures including fixed rates, capped rates, discounted rates, stepped rates and standard variable rates.

The CML state that there is much evidence to show that first-time buyers appreciate this information, including the “debt test”, more so than older households. This is perhaps due to the fact that many first-time buyers have to borrow much more for their initial property, due to high prices, and that they have generated more personal debt than their parents’ generation. Whilst personal debt remains a major concern for the finance industry, the government and the public, financial stability remains possible with education.

Here’s a guide to tipping service providers during the holidays - pass it on!

POSTAL CARRIER - $20 is nice, but many people leave more. Leave your tip in an envelope with a card addressed to your postal carrier (by name if you know it, otherwise MY POSTAL CARRIER) - cash is best.

CLEANING PERSON - One typical visit’s equivalent is standard. In other words, if the cost is usually $100 when the cleaning person comes, leave $100 for his or her holiday tip, in a card, in an envelope, where s/he can easily see it.

HAIRSTYLIST - One visit’s equivalent is standard here too. Of course, you’re likely to see your hairstylist, so simply include the tip as you pay for your last visit of the year.

HANDYMAN (OR WOMAN) - If you regularly use a handyperson, a typical visit’s equivalent is the standard holiday tip.

WASTE COLLECTORS - Leave an envelope with a card, and cash, in it for your trash collectors or watch for the truck and run out to meet them. Twenty dollars is a good amount (multiply that by all the houses they service) or even a little more.

NANNY OR CAREGIVER - Your nanny or children’s caregiver is, one hopes, an extension of your family. Tip him or her a week’s pay in an envelope, with a card, and hand it over in person. It is nice to purchase a hand-picked gift, also, because of the special role this person plays in your life.

Viagra, the erectile dysfunction (ED) drug has become a craze for teenagers. Teenage boys regularly opt for ED drug for improvising their sexual performance and machismo. Most of the time, they get hold of the drug through online pharmacies without prescription. An increasing use of Viagra is noticed by teenagers at a party or local club.

It’s surprising that Viagra, the older man’s drug, has earned a place among hard-partying youth. It has gone recreational practically without anyone noticing. A huge number of younger men take it in the hopes of enhancing performance and endurance as far as sex is concerned. This growing trend in youth is becoming a cause of concern as it can cause severe damage to the health of its users.

The worst part about this current trend is that teenage boys and 20-something guys are taking Viagra with club drugs such as Ecstasy. Although Ecstasy can boost energy and provide the desired high, it lessens a male’s ability to have an erection alike alcohol which also does the same thing to a man’s sexual abilities. With the usage of Viagra for a drug cocktail restores virility because the prescription drug’s main biological action is to increase the nitric oxide production needed to encourage blood flow to the penis.

The result is that a lot of young guys-and more than a few in their 30s, 40s and beyond-are suddenly more able to have sex when it is least advisable. Viagra works for four to six hours, which only extends the time to make unwise late-night decision, such as not using a condom which can often lead to sexual infections such as HIV (AIDS) and genital herpes.

Another problem with Viagra use is that some men-usually older males-might unwittingly mix nitroglycerin heart medicine and the sexual function drug. This combination can create potential blood pressure irregularities. So it’s wiser to use the ED drug for treating ED only otherwise it can prove fatal for the health of its users.

Is not a stretch to believe. Most traders like excitement, like life edgier than most. Like their share of thrills, have their appetites and needs to excel. This is one of the personality that would be attracted to trading. But this and this but is big, if you are using trading to satisfy these parts of your personality you are fighting a losing battle.

Successful traders actually tend to be attracted to the duller parts of trading. The mechanical system designers that easily do ‘this’ if ‘that’ happens. They are not thrilled with their winnings nor do they despair over their losses. Every trade, every situation calls for certain actions, either liquidation, stop placements, or just waiting, but it is all pre-ordained. Sure there are chart readers, like yours truly, but even then the charts dictate the action needed. While we do not use mathematical equations to impart are entries and exits, we do use charts. We do sit on positions when we would rather not, we do exit when we would rather not, but it is all pre-ordained as well. In short, our observations, our trained eye is our system.

Contrast that with the emotional trader, who goes from ecstasy to despair, in a single week, or day, or even hour. One minute he thinks he has figured out the trading game, with the holy grail of systems, and the next he realizes that all his friends were right and trading is a waste of time, a game you cannot win, not any different than casino gambling,. He was attracted by the appeal of easy money, and was sure he would be the one who would get it.

Well even the most successful traders will tell you, trading is NOT easy money. 50% annual returns may sound too good to be true, but it is not without its share of the full range of human experience. For even the most seasoned, mechanical traders will also tell you, that deep down, they experience the same emotions as the novice. The trick is and always has been not to allow your emotions to effect your trades.

So you can be wildly emotional on the inside. But you had better stick to your guns on the outside. Most weeks, most days, most hours, you are not going to be very happy about your open positions. Most trades will go against you at least one time during their open status. And probably more than once, the unpredictable is always going to happen. The illogical will always have its moment, and yes, you are going to be wrong.

The only smart thing to do about all of this is to learn from it. In fact, if you are not still learning new things from your trading, you have no reason to still be in it. The markets like humans, like the universe evolve. Evolution is the only thing you can bank on, and if you think you do not need to partake in it. Then you will be consumed by it.

To be successful at trading you do not need to always be one step ahead of the evolution of the markets. But you need to be in time with it, to accept its existence.

CT Larsen has been trading stocks since 1990. Now trading large cap stocks exclusively. He has recorded three straight years of greater than 50% annual returns. You can read his blog at http://livingonlargecaps.blogspot.com.

The Relationships Way24 Nov 2007 01:47 am

It’s a well known fact that in this day and age most marriages end up in divorce. When confronted with the possibility of “throwing a relationship away”, you’ll probably experience a lot of stress. There are some things you can do to decide if you are in the wrong relationship and if you need to get out.

I have written a few tips and guidelines to help you decide if you are making the right choice when it comes to divorce. This list is just a few key points that I think will help you. The list is not meant to be a complete list of all the steps you need to take, but will give you “food for thought”.

1. Is your partner/spouse abusive? If your signifigant other has abused you in the past, they probably will do so again in the future. If you are in a situation where you continue to be abused you need to GET OUT IMMEDIATELY! Abuse usually get’s worse over time. Even though it may be difficult to leave, there are many resources and support systems for batered people.

2. Has your partner cheated on you? For some people this is unforgiveable. If your partner has cheated on you you need to decide if you will be able to forgive them or not. Be honest with yourself. If you know in your heart of hearts that you will never be able to forgive them - you need to end the relationship.

3. Does your partner make more money than you? Perhaps you would have a better life if you left. If your partner makes more money than you, chances are you’ll get a nice alimony (and child support if you have kids) - when you combine that with your own salary you could have a better life. There are some secrets to getting more money from your divorce and also saving on the costs. If you want to be ruthless and get everything you can from your divorce you will have to find the right Divorce Method.

4. Are you happy in the relationship? Sit back for a moment and think to yourself “Am I happy in my relationship?” If you are happy, then great! If you’re not happy then you need to ask another question. Ask yourself “Can I forsee myself ever being happy in this relationship?” If you can see yourself being happy if some small changes are made, then it might be worth your effort to get marital counselling. I want to mention here that the small changes must come from inside you. You do not have the power to change anyone else (including your spouse). If can’t see yourself EVER being happy you should probably get out of the relationship.

5. Is there anything wrong with Divorce? This is a moral decision you need to decide for YOURSELF. When people are confronted with the possiblity of divorce, they usually think about how other people will judge them morally if they get divorced. You need to decide for yourself. Forget about what your parents, priest, minister, rabbi, friends, co-workers, etc.. think about the moral decision for divorce. Take the time to think to yourself “Based on my experiences in my life, Would it be morally ‘wrong’ to get divorced?” This may be a hard decision for you to make, but you need to make it. You should not do something that you believe is morally wrong. You also shouldn’t be obligated to not do something that you want to do if you think it is morally acceptable.

I hope these 5 points have given you some resources that you can decide if you need to get divorced or not. The decision to divorce is never easy, but you do have options. You need to be able to look at your life as whole and decide if it is good or bad. You also need to look at every possible aspect of your relationship with your spouse and see if the good outweighs the bad, or if the bad outweighs the good. Sometimes your judgement is clouded when you only focus on the good or only on the bad. The bottom line is to do what you need to do to have a more fulfilling and happy life.

Good Luck in Life,

If you are a loan officer or mortgage broker on the market for internet mortgage leads. Sometimes it may be better to go after quality leads, as opposed to buying your leads in quantity.

If you are looking for internet mortgage leads in quantity, or bulk, you will get a heck of a lot of leads for your money. But for the most part, these leads you purchase in bulk, have been recycled, or sold from lead company to lead company. Some are even more than a year old.

If you choose to purchase your internet mortgage leads based on quality, you will not be getting as many leads as you would if you bought in bulk, but at least the leads will be “real time,” or “fresh.” Meaning, you normally will be receiving the lead on the same day the prospect applies.

But before you go ahead and open an account with an internet mortgage lead company specializing in real time leads, do a little bit of research.

Here are a few things to look for in a lead company:

Where do the leads come from?

Make sure the lead company you are considering owns and operates the web sites from which they obtain their leads, this is pretty much a guarantee that the leads will be same day fresh.

If a company works with affiliates or buys their leads from another company, than most likely they will be a few days old by the time you get them.

You also don’t know how many times the company the leads are being purchased from sell to other lead companies.

How is their return policy?

Ask about their return policy, is it fair? If you receive a lead where the contact information is wrong, the customer cannot be contacted, you ask for good credit prospects and receive prospects with 400 credit scores and no income, than you should receive a refund or credit to your account.

The reasons for asking for a refund are not limited to what was stated in the above paragraph. You have every right to request a refund for any reason you believe to be reasonable.

When you purchase leads that are fresh, you will pay more for them, so don’t be shy when it comes to asking for a refund.

What will it cost to start?

Look for a company that has a low minimum deposit requirement to open an account.

Some companies require your minimum deposit to be $500.00, if this is not an ideal situation for you or your budget, than look for a company with a low minimum deposit around $100.00.

How is their customer service?

If you make an attempt to contact an internet mortgage lead company via phone or e-mail, and they are unresponsive or slow in getting back to you, than move on to the next lead company.

There is no reason or excuse for poor customer service. If you find the customer service to be poor during your research, than you can count on it to be poor when you have a problem or you are requesting a refund.

The most important thing to consider when shopping around for internet mortgage leads is the research. You work hard for your money, so when you buy leads, make sure your money is well spent. Good luck.
