Pick Your Fights With Your Teenager Wisely

I know as a single parent it is hard raising a girl or a boy.

I noticed throughout my son’s teenage life, his emotions were
different than mine. There is a difference between girls and
boy. The book that came out I think in the 1980’s - Men are from
Mars and Women are from Venus really made sense. If you haven’t
read that book, you could get the book or tapes and just get an
idea of how we are different.

For me, I don’t fight very often with my son. He is more mellow
than I am. What we do argue about is cleaning. He just hates
cleaning but I don’t like it either. Who does? So what I try to
do is talk with him the day before to let him know what we need
to do. Again, you can write down what chores need to be done.

So if we discuss the cleaning aspect beforehand, we can deal
with it when the time comes.

Another thing is sometimes there are things that your son or
daughter may do that you may not agree with. This is the time
you need to figure out if this is worth fighting about. If your
child for one night wants to stay up later because there is a
program they are looking forward to, then is it worth to argue
about or just let them watch the program?

Now I know my sister and her daughter are always fighting with
each other. If her daughter says something in a nasty way, my
sister jumps on her and argues back. Someone has to give in. You
are the mother and she is the child.

Don’t argue back and forth if there is not going to be an end
result. They do alot of name calling which has no purpose except
to hurt each other. Sometimes they both look like 5 year old
kids arguing back and forth.

Someone has to give in and I feel the mother should be the
example to give in and just ignore the behavior. How else if
your child going to learn giving in is okay.

If my son and me have differences, sometimes he gives in and
most of the time I do. The quicker you make up with your child,
the more time you can love each other and spend time with each.
If I am aggravated with my son and I have given in but I am
still aggravated, I pray to GOD that I feel the love in my heart
again for him. And all the time I do feel the love again almost
instantly.

If what you are arguing about is not worth anything, then drop
it immediately and just spend quality time with them. Your
children will not be with you forever. They grow up and leave.

The Relationships Way31 May 2007 06:49 pm

Divorce appears to be the new tendency in marriages these days. The entire globe appears to have jumped on the bandwagon which is endlessly being caused by split-ups in the entertainment industry. The holiness of wedlock is being sacrificed and it has turned into a marketplace for divorce- driven oblects such as divorce attorneys.

A great many people believe that obtaining a divorce is the sole means to pull out of a distressed relationship. However, as the wonderful philosopher Aristotle said, “There is always a third option.” Regarding individuals that believe that obtaining a divorce is the same thing as being contented, try thinking it through again. A current study that was lead by Ms. Linda Waite of the University of Chicago disclosed that divorced individuals are not any happier. An additional even more amazing reality that was uncovered by the research is that 67% of the individuals that became distressed about their marriages later stated that they were happy in their marriages five years later. Her group additionally discovered that a preponderance of devotedly wedded pairs had undergone long durations of sadness in their unions. The distinction is that the pair remained with the relationship and discovered answers to their difficulties.

Matrimony is designed to connect the inner souls of two individuals together. The marriage loses its holiness in the complete circumstance of splitting up. There exist more methods than one to stop divorce. Listed below are a few valuable points that someone can use in trying to rescue their marriage.

-Communication is the Key Virtually all differences advance to fights as a result of the absence of communication. A few pairs merely discuss chores and projects. Maintaining an open line of communication would maintain the frankness in the relationship and prevent concealed perceptions that could prod significant emotional harm.

-There Are No Perfect Relationships The fundamental lessons of economics dictate to us that any time we remain with one thing, we are consistently excluding something else. Divorces are commonly spurred by unfaithfulness and third-party affairs. Keep in mind that no relationship is perfect. Problems between marriage partners is no reason for unfaithfulness, actually it ought to make their relationship stronger.

-Look For Assistance In case everything else does not work the way you hoped it would and you have attempted to solve the difficulty between the pair of you, seek outside help. There exist professional marriage counselors that are able to help marriage partners with problems to get back on the right track. There’s no harm in seeking assistance.

Keep in mind that divorce has its penalties, which include tremendous monetary losses. Even more significantly, it taints marriage and completely finishes relationships. What it comes down to is that if there is more than sufficient love that exists within a home, divorce will not ever rear it ugly head.

David Fordley owns the website www.marriage-coundeling-stop-divorce.com where you can find marraige counseling to stop divorce and turn a marriage in trouble into one of happiness.

Medical billing software, also referred to as electronic medical billing software, is now one of the most important components of a successful medical practice. Healthcare professionals from many different specialties can benefit from some level of medical billing software. Innovations in the field of medical billing software have created a new standard of digital precision. Many software packages in general can now fill all the needs of your practice; you can easily locate vendors who know about health care management solutions and will work with your practice to maintain your lead in the business.

When investigating possibilities for your billing software, ask questions such as how and for whom the system was designed, and whether the data will be safe and secure on backed-up, protected, HIPAA-compliant servers accessible only to authorized persons. (“HIPAA” is the acronym for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.) Then you can ask for the total price (including ongoing costs like software upgrades) of the entire software package. Some vendors will allow you to build your own medical billing software quote by providing you with a series of questions that will identify your essential needs. Moreover, look for companies who offer free updates to ensure continued efficiency and HIPAA compliance.

To figure out your software requirements, you can either assess them for yourself if you have excellent computer and software knowledge, or contact one of the many medical practice software providers who can assist you in comparing features, prices, and services. There are many companies that will do this free of charge.

One popular option that some electronic medical billing software experts will recommend is to use web-based software. These are companies that maintain practice management programs, electronic medical records, and various software programs on remote computers. All of your data is web-based and accessible through the Internet. These companies are commonly referred to as application service providers (ASPs). All you need to use an ASP is an ordinary computer and a broadband Internet connection. Most packages include software support, security, database management and training. This eliminates the burden of maintaining network servers, backup tapes, upgrades or modems. Additionally, search for software providers (web-based or otherwise) who will consistently upgrade their products in a timely manner, anticipate future developments, and translate those advances into system features.

Because dynamic, scalable software is now readily available to the modern medical establishment, even the most humble doctor’s office can install a fluid software system that everybody can use. Further, as the demand for electronic medical billing software has blossomed, so have the available choices. Medical billing software is just one of the many options now available that make operating a medical practice easier than ever before.

Medical Billing Software Info provides comprehensive information about medical insurance billing software, HIPAA compliant medical billing software, easy and free medical billing software, and medical billing software prices and reviews. Medical Billing Software Info is the sister site of Medical Billing Web.

Other articles in this series looked at a number of exercises, mainly from the perspective of developing a comprehensive muscle building program. Sometimes we take things for granted, especially when it comes to performing the basic exercises that constitute the core of most bodybuilders’ training regimes.

It is useful, therefore, to describe in detail the processes involved in actually doing these exercises. This will help beginners to start out using the correct techniques before moving on to potentially more dangerous heavy weights. If it also helps more experienced lifters to redress some of the little faults that have almost imperceptibly crept in over the years, all the better.

In this article we’ll take a close look at the wrist extension.

MUSCLES TARGETED: extensor carpi radialis, extensor carpi ulnaris

STARTING POSITION

Sit on the edge of a bench.
Grasp the bar with a closed pronated grip at a width of roughly 8 to 12 inches.

It cost one of our friends a whole lot of money, much
aggravation and lost time, lost records, and a major
inconvenience to recover from the havoc caused by the worms and
viruses that had infiltrated their computer over a period of
many months.

Actually, our friends are like so many other people who use
their computers primarily for communicating with family and
their friends by email, sharing personal pictures, playing a few
games, doing a little research now and then, making airline and
hotel reservations, and maybe even balancing their check books.

Surfing the internet for them was just a sometime thing, not
necessarily a must-do daily routine.

They were aware of computer viruses and had even heard of
firewalls. Occasionally, public comments on TV and in newspapers
about wide sweeping virus attacks with odd names like ‘MyDoom’,
‘Sasser’, and ‘Bagel’ caught their attention.

After those reported epidemics were no longer news items, they
simply put them out of mind, and resumed use of the internet.

When they purchased their computer a few years ago, it came with
virus scanning software but not a Firewall program. So, they
believed ‘they were protected’!

The general public didn’t really care about Trojan Horse dangers
then, because no one was really making an effort to inform them
of the insidious efforts of Hackers, spammers, and malcontents
who were flooding the internet with their poison.

Even today, there are computer users who believe that they don’t
need a firewall. They aren’t aware that Firewalls help stop some
of the viruses and worms that are hidden in email attachments
and other downloaded information.

They aren’t aware of the new strains and variants of worms,
adware and other spyware programs that crop up nearly daily, or
that there are over 70,000 identified computer viruses.

They aren’t aware because for the past few years, their chances
of actually being infected by a computer virus were very small,
and spyware and adware weren’t even discussed in the general
news media.

Not so any longer!

Some authoritive researchers have determined that the internet
is so dangerous today, that an unprotected computer connected to
the internet is likely to become infected within 20 minutes of
going on line.

A protected computer today MUST HAVE an up-to-date Firewall
program, up-to-date virus scanning software, up dated Spyware
scanning software programs, and the latest updates from the
manufacturers of their web browsers (MicroSoft’s Internet
Explorer in particular).

Unfortunately for our friends, they were not aware that their
anti-virus program needed to be brought up to date on a regular
basis. A few years ago, maybe a monthly update would have saved
them from their virus grief.

(Actually, they had never updated their anti-virus program at
all).

The safest way today is to use anti-virus and anti-spyware
software that can be programmed to download updates
automatically from the Software providers themselves.

Also true for Firewall program updates.

Today’s major scourge, however, seems to be the rampant spread
of spyware (keyloggers, adware, malicious software known as
‘malware’, all designed to be invisible, often self
propagating).

Spyware seeks information about you and your computer-use habits
that are private and personal. It is a threat that can often
lead to loss of a person’s identity, bank accounts, reputation
and employment.

There are major efforts on an international basis to stop the
spread of SPAM (unwanted email), that has been responsible for
much of the virus epidemic.

Viruses are spread in other ways, too. Downloaded music files,
downloaded programs and information gained from Chat Room
visits, hidden worms that activate just by clicking on links in
some unsolicited emails and pop-ups, are just a few.

There are other protective tools available at no cost (FREE)
from many of the software manufacturers of Firewalls, anti-virus
and spyware searching programs. Many are included with the email
services provided by AOL, Earthlink, MSN, etc.

These are primarily Pop-up blockers and virus scanners. The
ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) also scan for and filter out
email messages that look suspicious before being passed on to
you.

Pop-up blockers, spam filters, message blockers, and other
protective defenses can be installed on everyone’s personal
computer. They are often free, or relatively inexpensive.

Our friends now know a lot more about protecting themselves from
all of the dangers lurking in the Cyber-Jungle.

To clean out their infected computer, which required a clean
wipe of their hard drive, re-installation of their Operating
System, and an updated anti-virus program, they were charged
$180.00!

Needless to say, they have increased their defenses with updated
virus-scanning software, Firewall, and spyware scanners and
cleaners.

They learned a lesson the hard way, and they’ll help their
friends avoid the problems they experienced by sharing their
story and encouraging them to get their computers up to date and
prepared for the ever increasing threats by the spammers,
hackers and virus writers.

If you use the internet regularly, a subscription to one of the
security oriented newsletters can alert you to the latest
threats and provide helpful information for maintaining a
secure, virus free computer and avoiding potential identity
theft.

The “Security Alert News Reporter” published through the
Firewalls and Virus Protection website is free, it’s distributed
about once each month and is written in an easy to understand,
non-technical style.

A few minutes browsing there now might save you many hours of
agony and grief later.

Streaming Audio and Video has always been available to the large corporate sites and techies. Now you can use inexpensive software to produce your own streaming audio or video just like the professionals with no knowledge of programming required. Lets face it when a person comes to your website what would they rather do listen or read.

Hint - You are trying to get people to listen to your music?

Best of all no special servers, monthly fees or additional costs….

With the web surfer becoming much more “web savvy” than they were a year ago, they are expecting not only information, but an entertaining web experience.

Why Add Streaming Audio or Video to Your Website

*Credibility - Anyone can add some text and graphics however music is a very emotive medium and if your visitors can hear samples then you will find they will have a much more positive response. If done properly you can also generate some good sales if that’s what your wanting.

*Auditory - Statistics show that 30% of surfers are auditory and so if you do not have audio then you are loosing out on a lot of traffic.

* Stickability - Our customers have proven that audio has dramatically increased the time people spend on their site. So many people are now able to get traffic to their websites using Pay Per Click advertising however the next main consideration is keeping them there so you get more from your advertising dollar.

* Current Marketplace - is awash with TV and radio programs so people are already used to the concept and are expecting it on websites. With the average computer being multimedia enabled they almost feel dejected if they can not utilize all the functions.

* The Wow Factor - At present only around 5% of sites utilise any form of streaming media so it creates a wow factor and delivers a lot more word of mouth traffic than any other form of web page functions.

* The Online Population - Streamies, those users who watch or listen to streaming online, represent 44% of all Internet users and 27% of Americans overall. By far, streamies are the most valuable consumer group on the Internet. Streaming media consumers are far more interactive, are more oriented to e-commerce and spend more time online compared with Internet users who don’t stream.” (EdisonMedia Study, Jan. 2001)

You do not need any technical ability. The latest programs are so easy to use that anyone can add streaming audio or video to their website and stand out from the crowd.

Marketeers and business people have always known that a well-placed audio stream can increase sales and signups to their products and services. The problem has always been that the average person could not afford the high cost of special servers or programmers to be able to use this technology. This has all changed with Streaming Audio and Video software available on the market today.

Audio’s power comes from its ability to engage more of your visitor’s senses. The more senses you engage, the easier it will be to effectively communicate. Instead of just reading your words and looking at your picture, you can communicate with your voice or music? and the voices of your clients.

Your site has been sending non-verbal messages for years; now it’s time to break free and let it send a message everyone can hear. Adding audio to your website is not only easy to do, it can help you gain the trust of your site’s visitors, thus increasing your conversion rate. So stop wasting your time and money, and start getting the sales you may be missing.

Quentin Brown has been helping musicians add streaming audio to their websites for over three years. For great tutorials and affordable software visit =>http://streamingformuscians.com

Soapstone countertops may be just the thing you’re looking for
in a decorator’s dream of a kitchen! Not only do these type
countertops look wonderful, they’re also one of the most durable
and maintenance-free countertops you can choose. Read on to find
out more about soapstone countertops and what makes them so
wonderfully appealing.

The mineral used to make soapstone countertops, steatite, comes
from metamorphic rock. This non-porous material offers an ideal
medium for applications such as kitchen countertops because it
does not absorb liquids. Unlike other materials often used for
kitchen countertops, including granite, soapstone countertops do
not stain because of this unusual characteristic.

Another exceptional quality about soapstone countertops lies in
its unique thermal properties. Nearly heatproof, placing a hot
pot or pan directly from the stovetop or oven on it causes no
damage whatsoever. Because of its excellent ability to withstand
heat, this mineral is used not only in soapstone countertops,
but also in a number of other applications including laboratory
counters, oven interiors, grills, and many more.

One of the most remarkable and attractive properties of
soapstone countertops stems from its upkeep. Maintaining
soapstone countertops means nothing more than regularly applying
mineral oil to it with a rag. By keeping the same rag sealed in
a zip-locked plastic bag and reusing it, one maintains the
beauty and luster of soapstone countertops indefinitely. The
oiling of soapstone countertops also creates the added benefit
of it darkening over time to a dark gray and eventually to a
rich, deep black color. Sometimes soapstone countertops develop
deep green markings that come from natural-occurring shadings of
the stone.

Scratches or marring inevitably occurs in soapstone countertops
that receive heavy use. To remedy this, first sand with 120-grit
sandpaper, then go over the mark with 220-grit sandpaper and
water. Rub mineral oil into the area, wait a few hours and apply
more mineral oil. Continue to apply mineral oil over the course
of several days until the soapstone that has been repaired
matches its surrounding areas.

Now that you know more about soapstone countertops, why not do
some research yourself? You may find this unusually appropriate
material just the thing for which you’ve been looking in a
kitchen countertop. You’ll never know, though, ’til you check it
out. The wave of the future in kitchen design may very well be
soapstone countertops. Don’t miss out!

Net Info31 May 2007 03:16 am

The first thing I do every morning when I wake up is head for my computer. It holds the secrets to my day. I read my e-mails from several accounts, check my schedule on my Outlook calendar and even find out how much money I can spend that day from my bank’s Web site. I’d be lost without my computer.

However, I have one huge frustration - privacy invasion. In the last three months alone I have had the privacy of my personal computer invaded in so many ways I am starting to feel like it is public property instead of my own property.

My home page has been changed without my consent. My search engine was set for Internet Explorer and was changed to some search engine I never knew existed. Hidden programs have infiltrated my computer and set it to randomly open windows to casino ads and porn sites.

My e-mail is constantly bombarded with ads from companies that claim I have “opted” into their e-mail list. As if I would waste my time asking someone to send me e-mails that are deleted as fast as they are received. Can I have a little orange juice with that spam at 6:30 in the morning?

Since I have my own server, one of my e-mail addresses is not related to any of the big name e-mail sites like Yahoo, Hotmail or America Online. But those nasty little computer geeks have even invaded that part of my privacy by using my server to send out e-mail ads. They get tons of money from the dupes who actually buy into their money-making schemes, and I get to have my account flooded by all of the undeliverable e-mail. Isn’t that just peachy?

My biggest frustration comes from the pop-up messages I receive when connected to the Internet. A friend of mine explained the technical aspects of this phenomenon to me, but I don’t care about how it happens. All I care about is that it does happen. I get pop-ups about all kinds of stuff. I have received several pop-ups inviting me to learn how to enlarge my penis. Last time I checked, I didn’t even have a penis.

I even get pop-ups telling me how to not get pop-ups. Now that is frustration to the nth degree. If I could, I’d reach through the lines that connect me to those privacy thieves and pour my orange juice all over their geeky little heads. But alas, I have no such super powers.

Is it really necessary to feel victimized in your own home at your own computer? Luckily I know someone who helped restore my computer to its original state, but that doesn’t stop the spamming or the pop-ups and it doesn’t protect me from future invasion.

Each state has its own anti-spam laws to protect people from this type of privacy invasion. Illinois passed its first law in 1999. In California, outgoing Gov. Gray Davis recently signed a bill that made a tough stand on spamming with fines from $1,000 per e-mail and up to $1 million per mass-mailing incident. However, the truth of the matter is it is very hard to catch and prosecute these privacy thieves.

How about a do-not-call list for computers? As a matter of fact, the U.S. Senate passed legislation last week that would increase penalties for spammers on a national level and would start a do-not-spam list. Anyone have a pen handy?

Although spamming is only one of the many invasions of privacy on my computer and although this new legislation has been too long in coming, I have to admit I’m quite relieved to see help is on the way. Until then, I will try to go about my daily routine without allowing those privacy thieves to get me too frustrated.

However, I do not intend to share my OJ or my toast with them - unless they like OJ as shampoo.

Blogs On Blogging31 May 2007 12:37 am

Blogging is one of the most efficient ways to increase your website rankings on search sites like Google and Yahoo. Blogging refers to posting your website links to blog sites in order to increase your website rankings. Blogging work best for the SEO as it is the one of the most effective tools to make your website popular amongst the people. If your website is more famous it will generate more revenues as more and more people will visit your site.

You can follow these simple rules for SEO and your blog will definitely rank much higher in search engines. You should use your primary keyword most often in your blogs. The URL that you post on the blogs should contain a primary keyword to optimize your website. You can also use the main keyword in sub domains to get better results. In case your website is about automotive parts then you can use the keywords “Automotive Parts” in your website. Also it is necessary to use your main keyword in the title of your posts and the titles of your web pages. Also use the main keywords and key phrases in your H1 and H2 headers to make them more searchable.

You should also create back links to your website on as many blogs as possible. This is because it will help a lot in getting the rank of your website higher in the search engine pages. The more links you have created the higher will be the rank of your website on search engines. You can get back links to your website is to submit your blog and RSS feeds to as many blog search engines and blog directories as possible. Title: An Energy of Vision

Enjoyable Read …….. Recommended … 4 stars

The Review

An ‘Energy of Vision’ is a work of haiku verse offered by writer McCullough. Unlike many poetry books ‘An Energy of Vision’ begins as an untitled thought ‘Art imitates life; no idea is greater than the being of it’ and sweeps on from subject to subject, notion to notion over the next 140+ pages. Stanza after stanza flows across the sheet as the poet sets down his thinking and thoughts. Buddha, Allah, God are all declaimed. Cycles of nature, space, stars and the purpose of life are set down alongside words telling of pillars of sunlight, the spirit of life and a stone. Expressions to describe Numbers, Masters, Ideas and Planets influence the reader toward reading of people who share thoughts, the role of humans and mystic voices. The minstrel considers a Mozambique tale, women who control the world, and Aquarius pi before turning his attention a country without religion, spider web shadows and an advance token from a jitney bus. A million raindrops, the battle of ancient clouds and celebration in the forest lead into discussion the flow and ebb of human tides. Air Force one, a cemetery stone and the stages of life are each discussed. The bard finishes up with ‘an idea never ends even when forgotten; a system of thoughts.

Lyrist McCullough illustrates his sylvan propensity on the pages of this appealing work. ‘Energy of Vision’ showcases McCullough’s excitement for life. Unpretentious refrains filled with intensity, acuity and reflection are included in this atypical presentation technique. Devotees of rhythm and style will definitely be excited as they find themselves resting repeatedly to appreciate a line or a longer portion before going on to the next inviting section. Poet McCullough exhibits an uncommon propensity for taking the prosaic consequences of existence and turning them into an enticing work. Filled with refined, penetrating, words to enthrall, and animate are offered as McCullough views the journal of life to produce a composition of charming work. Passion, mortality, knowledge; all are declared to the core of the reader in a most easy-going and measurable manner.

I found the stanzas lying within the pages ‘Energy of Vision’ intriguing in their form. Phrases flow unimpeded; thoughts ebb and wane as the poet addresses theme after theme. Topics that seemingly do not fit together do so very well under the talented pen of writer McCullough. ‘Energy of Vision’ offers the reader a far-reaching diversity of elan, subject and feelings to fit any reader want or need. I enjoyed the wide variety of thesis from the heartfelt to thoughtful, tribute to merry. There is truly something for everyone, and something for every occasion included in the work. Verse compositions are grouped by subjects, address each and then course onto the next without hesitation. That poet McCullough loves and understands words, their emanation and significance is manifest. ‘Energy of Vision’ is an banner addition to the home pleasure reading shelf, the school library as requisite reading for upper grade and high school students as well as for the home school schedule to be used for acquainting young people to absorbing, meritorious poetry presented in unique manner.

‘Energy of Vision’ is a volume designed to be read and then brought out often for re reading again and again. I especially like the author’s methodology of the work seemingly to stream unimpeded from page to page; from beginning to end.
Premium edition for a long winter afternoon or a quick stanza or two while waiting for an appointment.

Enjoyed the read, happy to recommend.
